DAY 02: LIMA / LARCO MUSEUM & CITY TOUR
DAY 02: LIMA / LARCO MUSEUM & CITY TOUR

In the morning, prepare to explore Lima's historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with fascinating historical buildings. Start the tour at the Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre and housed in a beautifully restored colonial mansion, which is built on a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum boasts an extensive pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver objects, as well as erotic art pieces. Next, visit Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by conquistador Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains, Jerónimo de Aliaga. It is the only house from that era still owned by the same family. Continue with a scenic tour of the colonial center, visiting the Plaza de Armas, where you can admire the grand architecture of the Spanish Empire. There you will find the magnificent Cathedral, built in the 16th century.

- Overnight in Lima at the selected hotel with bed and breakfast.

- Optional afternoon tour: Barranco and Miraflores Boardwalks with a gastronomic experience.

DAY 03: LIMA – PARACAS / NASCA LINES OVERFLIGHT
DAY 03: LIMA – PARACAS / NASCA LINES OVERFLIGHT

At the scheduled time, a transfer will take you from your hotel to the bus station for your journey to Paracas. After a four-hour trip, you will arrive at Pisco Airport for a 90-minute flight over the desert to view the Nasca Lines. Nasca is a small town that might go unnoticed on the map if not for the mysterious geoglyphs etched into the sand that have given it worldwide fame. From the air, you can see large figures like a monkey, a spider, and a condor, and try to decipher their enigmatic appearance. If weather conditions and airspace permit, you may also overfly the recent discoveries in Palpa.

After your aerial tour of the mountains, which contain marine fossils up to 150 million years old, you will land and be transferred to your hotel in Paracas to enjoy some free time.

- Overnight in Paracas at the selected hotel with bed and breakfast.

- Optional afternoon tour: Dune Buggies in Paracas.

DAY 04: PARACAS - BALLESTAS ISLANDS / LIMA
DAY 04: PARACAS - BALLESTAS ISLANDS / LIMA

In the morning, you will be transferred to the dock to embark on a boat ride to the Ballestas Islands. This is a natural reserve with beautiful geological formations, impressive wildlife, and remnants of pre-Inca cultures. The Ballestas Islands are home to species such as boobies, pelicans, sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and other fascinating animals. Along the way, you will see some still unexplained linear drawings in the desert sand in the shape of a candelabra. At the end of the tour, you will go to the bus station to return to Lima and spend the night in your selected hotel.

DAY 05: LIMA – CUSCO / CITY TOUR AND NEARBY ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES
DAY 05: LIMA – CUSCO / CITY TOUR AND NEARBY ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES

Transfer to the Lima airport to take your flight to Cusco (it is suggested to book a flight arriving before 11 a.m.). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the selected hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of this charming city, which was the capital of the Inca Empire. The tour begins with a visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo, built over the Inca temple of Coricancha, one of the most important sites dedicated to the worship of the sun. Ancient chronicles say that its walls were covered in gold leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. Then, visit the Cathedral, the most imposing monument in the Plaza de Armas. Next, head to the Cusco hills where the Sacsayhuamán fortress is located, whose imposing walls offer an impressive panoramic view of Cusco. Continue to Qenqo, an archaeological complex of religious use where it is believed that the Incas performed rituals related to agriculture. Your tour ends at Puca Pucará, in Quechua "red fortress," an architectural complex of supposed military use, with multiple rooms, plazas, baths, aqueducts, and towers. It is believed to have been used by the Inca entourage while the leader rested in Tambomachay. After the visit, you will return to your hotel.

▪ Night in Cusco at the selected hotel, with bed and breakfast included.

DAY 06: CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU
DAY 06: CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and taken to the Ollantaytambo train station to begin your adventure to Machu Picchu Pueblo on a journey of approximately two and a half hours. Once on the train, you will enjoy the scenic Andean landscapes for about an hour and a half. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes station, our guide will be waiting for you and will accompany you to the bus departure point. You will then take a 25-minute uphill bus ride to Machu Picchu, known as the "Lost City of the Incas."

It is believed that this archaeological site was built in 1450 by Inca Pachacutec as his vacation home. However, a century later, the city was abandoned after the Spanish conquest, avoiding the destruction that befell other Inca settlements. Throughout the guided tour, you will have the opportunity to learn about the origins of this impressive citadel and explore its most notable monuments.

After completing the tour, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will enjoy lunch at the restaurant of your choice.

*Lunch time may vary depending on your entry to the citadel.

**Remember to confirm your reservation as soon as possible to proceed with the purchase of tickets in advance due to the limited capacity of the citadel. Tickets are subject to availability.

▪ Night in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) at selected hotel with breakfast included. Lunch included.

Today, you can optionally return to Machu Picchu to visit other attractions the citadel has to offer. We recommend waking up early to make the most of the morning on the mountain—it's an unforgettable experience! You can choose to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, both offering incredible views of the archaeological site. Another option is to visit the Inca Bridge, a secret military path that controlled access to Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, board the train back to Ollanta Station, and from there, a transfer will take you to your hotel in Cusco.
