ESCAPE TO BOLIVIA

Arrival in the majestic city of La Paz, located at 3,600 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Accommodation.

We begin the adventure with a one-and-a-half-hour journey on a fully paved road to visit Tiwanaku, known as the “Cradle of American Civilization.” This archaeological site is among the oldest of the Andean cultures, and its remains are remarkable for their monumentality and the precision of their construction and decorative techniques. You will visit the following highlights: the Tiwanaku Museums and several ruins such as the Akapana Pyramid, the Kalasasaya Temple, the Gate of the Sun, the Fraile and Ponce monoliths, and the Semi-Subterranean Temple. You will also have the opportunity to observe local handicrafts, including small, carefully carved stones modeled after monoliths, Tiwanaku and Aymara amulets, as well as finely crafted pottery like ceremonial vessels, incense burners, the Gate of the Sun, and more. Additionally, we will visit the Puma Punku Temple, also known as a pre-Inca workshop. Return to the hotel.

In the afternoon, we continue exploring this wonderful city, appreciating its cultural, historical, architectural, and natural wealth. We will visit the main square “Pedro Domingo Murillo,” the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Congress, and the Government Palace (exterior view), the Museum of Precious Metals (closed on Mondays), and the Killi Killi viewpoint, where you'll enjoy a panoramic view of La Paz and the snow-capped Illimani mountain, along with a replica of Tiwanaku’s semi-subterranean temple. We then head to the southern zone of the city to observe the change in climate and architectural style, followed by a visit to the Valley of the Moon—a place that will challenge your imagination, giving the sensation of walking on a miniature lunar landscape. Its formations are the result of erosion and resemble volcanic craters. You will also have the chance to ride one of the city's cable cars and finish with a visit to the Witches' Market, where locals buy supplies for ceremonies or rituals such as the Challa and offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth). Return to the hotel for rest. Accommodation.

At the designated time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to the stunning Uyuni Salt Flats. Upon arrival, transfer to the city center to begin your tour of one of Bolivia’s most breathtaking natural wonders. We start with a visit to the Train Cemetery, located just 10 minutes from Uyuni, followed by a stop in Colchani, a local artisan market where you’ll find salt handicrafts, llama and alpaca wool weavings, and witness the traditional salt processing methods.We then continue to visit the salt mounds, saltwater eyes (natural springs), the Dakar Rally monument, and the World Flags Plaza. Next, we visit the first Salt Hotel, now a museum and restaurant, where lunch will be served. During cold and windy days with dust, lunch is a colorful picnic set on the salt flats, complete with vibrant tablecloths and cushions. After lunch, we’ll head to Incahuasi Island, home to giant cacti, where you’ll take a short hike to the top of the island for a panoramic view of the Uyuni Salt Flats. On the flats themselves, you’ll have the chance to take incredible forced-perspective photos and shoot exclusive, creative videos. We’ll return across the flats to witness the magical mirror effect at sunset, before heading back to the town and transferring to the hotel. Accommodation.
