Description

Experience a profound cultural journey in Mexico City during one of the country’s most iconic celebrations: Day of the Dead. This program blends history, tradition, spirituality, and folklore in a thoughtfully designed itinerary that connects you with the true essence of Mexico.

You will explore the Historic Center, the impressive National Museum of Anthropology, and Chapultepec Forest, gaining insight into the origins and meaning of this UNESCO-recognized cultural tradition. Cruise through the colorful canals of Xochimilco, stroll through vibrant neighborhoods like Coyoacán and San Ángel, and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of altars, traditional “pan de muerto,” and cultural activities that transform the city into a living celebration.

The journey concludes with unforgettable highlights: a visit to the Basilica of Guadalupe, exploration of the majestic pyramids of Teotihuacán, and a special night tour through traditional cemeteries, where reverence and heritage come together in an authentic setting. Mexico City is mostly a safe city to walk around; however, there are areas that should be avoided, and there are safe transportation systems.
