WONDERS OF JORDAN

Arrival in Amman, capital of Jordan. Visa procedures and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Madaba the “City of Mosaics” where we will visit the church of Saint George that houses the map of the Holy Land made in the year 571 A.D. Continuation to Mount Nebo, known as the tomb of Moses and from whose summit you can see a magnificent panoramic view of the Jordan Valley. Visit of its church and then departure along the known royal road; such as the Silk Road for the trade of silk, spices and perfumes, towards the fortress of Karak or Shobak built between 1110 and 1213 AD. by the Templars during the Crusades, which was later taken by Saladin. Departure to Petra. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Classic full-day visit to the Nabataean city of Petra and one of the settings of “Indiana Jones”. Petra one of the seven wonders of the world, excavated in pink rock more than 2000 years ago. We will access to the entrance of the gorge (Siq). From there we will continue to reach the impressive monumental complex of the Treasury (El Khazneh). Visit of the theater, the royal tombs, the Byzantine church and the street of columns.
