DAY 1 – PANAMA ✈ SAN JOSÉ
International flight from Panama (PTY) to San José (SJO) operated by Copa Airlines (economy class).
Upon arrival, meet and greet at the airport and transfer to your selected hotel in San José.

DAY 2 – SAN JOSÉ – HALF-DAY CITY TOUR (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a half-day city tour.
Our sightseeing double-decker bus combines culture and innovation in a unique way, offering a panoramic view of the capital city from an elevated perspective. Join us for a cultural journey through San José to discover Costa Rica’s most iconic landmarks and learn what makes this happy and peaceful nation so unique in the world. This tour combines a comfortable bus ride with guided walking visits to the city’s main attractions.

DAY 3 – ARENAL VOLCANO & HOT SPRINGS – FULL DAY (L, D)
Full-day excursion to Arenal Volcano and its famous hot springs.
The impressive Arenal Volcano is one of Costa Rica’s most iconic natural wonders, attracting thousands of visitors every year. On the way to Arenal, we’ll make a stop in the renowned town of Sarchí, known as the cradle of Costa Rican artisans. Here, you can admire the country’s finest handicrafts and see the world’s largest oxcart, a Guinness World Record symbol of Costa Rican tradition, measuring nearly 45 feet (14 meters) long and weighing 4,400 pounds (2 tons).
The journey continues through beautiful landscapes filled with pineapple, mango, and ornamental plant farms, cattle ranches, and lush forest until we reach the charming town of La Fortuna, where we’ll enjoy lunch at a cozy restaurant with magnificent views of the volcano.
After lunch, relax at one of the area’s best hot spring resorts, surrounded by tropical vegetation and breathtaking volcano views. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy optional massages or spa treatments (advance reservation recommended). The experience combines the four natural elements — the heat of the volcano, the flowing thermal waters, the pure jungle air, and the fertile soil of La Fortuna.
Before returning to San José, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at the hot springs resort, the perfect ending to a memorable day.

DAY 4 – DOKA COFFEE ESTATE, POÁS VOLCANO & LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS – FULL DAY (B, L)
Recommendations: light jacket, rain poncho, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, binoculars, camera.
Depart toward Alajuela City, passing by the Monument to the Farmer, Juan Santamaría Monument, and the Famous Mango Park. As we ascend toward Poás Volcano, you’ll notice changes in temperature and vegetation, with scenic coffee, fern, flower, and strawberry plantations along the way.
Our first stop is Doka Coffee Estate, where we’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast and a guided coffee tour. Learn about the ancient techniques used by local experts to produce one of Costa Rica’s finest coffees, from cultivation and harvesting to roasting the “golden bean.”
We’ll then continue to Poás Volcano National Park (8,000 ft / 2,708 m), where you’ll witness its active crater, fumaroles, and the region’s rich biodiversity and ecosystems.
Afterward, we’ll visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens, including lunch.
This park features lush jungle trails leading to spectacular waterfalls, as well as attractions like the hummingbird gallery, serpentarium, birdhouse, butterfly observatory, and frog exhibit.

DAY 5 – ISLA TORTUGA CATAMARAN CRUISE (B, L)
Recommendations: casual clothing, swimsuit, sunscreen, camera, sunglasses, hat, sandals, towel.
Set sail aboard the Bay Princess Catamaran to Isla Tortuga, one of Costa Rica’s most famous experiences!
Enjoy turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, lush green mountains, gourmet cuisine, and top-tier service from the Bay Island Cruises staff.
The Bay Princess glides across the Gulf of Nicoya, passing seven scenic islands before reaching the palm-fringed paradise of Isla Tortuga. Walk on pristine white sands, swim in crystal-clear waters, and discover marine life while the crew prepares a delicious lunch.
The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy activities such as swimming, sunbathing, or snorkeling.
