DAY 2 NEW YORK – PHILADELPHIA – LANCASTER – WASHINGTON
DAY 2 NEW YORK – PHILADELPHIA – LANCASTER – WASHINGTON

American breakfast. Departure to Philadelphia, the city where thirteen colonies declared their independence from England. Upon arrival, a city visit including: Elfreth’s Alley, the historic Victorian district, Benjamin Franklin Boulevard with a stop in front of the Art Museum, the Rocky Steps, and the Liberty Bell. Time for lunch (not included). After lunch, we continue to the Pennsylvania Dutch Amish Country, where we will stop at the Amish Market and enjoy a brief panoramic visit before continuing to Washington, arriving in the late afternoon. Overnight stay.

DAY 3 WASHINGTON
DAY 3 WASHINGTON

American breakfast. Departure for a four-hour city tour including Arlington Cemetery, where the graves of the Kennedy brothers are located; the Lincoln Memorial; the Iwo Jima Memorial; the White House (outside view); Pennsylvania Avenue; and the Capitol. Free afternoon to visit the Smithsonian Institution museums. Overnight stay.

DAY 4 WASHINGTON – NIAGARA FALLS

American breakfast. Early morning departure toward Niagara Falls. The route travels through the states of Pennsylvania and New York, crossing the Appalachian Mountains. Arrival in Niagara Falls in the afternoon. Depending on the season, the Maid of the Mist boat ride will be taken either on this day or the following day. Overnight stay.

American breakfast. In the morning, we complete the visit to Niagara Falls, including Goat Island, Lake Ontario, Fort Niagara, and the hydroelectric power plant. At the scheduled time, departure to the city of Boston. Overnight stay.

American breakfast. Morning city tour including Harvard University, Copley Square—home to Trinity Church—the Back Bay neighborhood, Faneuil Hall (shopping center), Quincy Market, and the waterfront area, among other points of interest. Free afternoon. Overnight stay.

DAY 7 BOSTON – NEWPORT – NEW YORK
DAY 7 BOSTON – NEWPORT – NEW YORK

American breakfast. Morning departure toward New York City. En route, we stop in Newport, a charming city known as the sailing capital of the United States and for its historic mansions, including those of the Vanderbilt and Astor families. After lunch (not included), we continue to New York City, arriving in the mid-afternoon. Overnight stay.

American breakfast. City tour. On the way to Upper Manhattan along Central Park, we will pass by Lincoln Center, the Dakota Building, and Strawberry Fields. After a brief stop in Central Park to see the “Imagine” plaque in tribute to John Lennon, we continue to Harlem. After touring the area, we descend along Fifth Avenue to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frick Collection, and the Guggenheim Museum. Passing St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center, we make a brief stop at Madison Square to enjoy views of the Flatiron Building and the Empire State Building. We then continue to Lower Manhattan, passing through Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown, Little Italy, Wall Street, Trinity Church, and St. Paul’s Chapel. From here, we walk with our guide to Battery Park, where we can admire the Statue of Liberty. Passengers may choose to stay and explore Lower Manhattan at their own pace or return by bus to 34th Street. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
