DAY 01 - SUN ZURICH
Arrival in Zurich, transfer to the hotel and check-in. The guide will be at the hotel from 7 pm onwards.
DAY 02 - MON ZURICH
Breakfast and a city tour, highlighting the historic center with its cathedral, old town hall, and St. Martin's Gate. We continue through the commercial and financial district, Bahnhofstrasse, past the Fraumünster Church, along the Limmatquai, and through the university district. Next, we'll discover the world of chocolate with a visit to the Lindt Chocolate House. We'll learn about the rich history of chocolate and enjoy a delicious tasting.
DAY 03 - TUE ZURICH – LUCERNE – BERN
Breakfast and continuation to Lucerne, a medieval city located on the shores of Lake Lucerne. A highlight is the famous Chapel Bridge, built of wood in 1333, covered and embellished with various paintings. Next, we go to the village of Engelberg, ascending on the world's first rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis at 3020 m, where a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains awaits us. In the afternoon, we continue the tour to Bern, the capital of Switzerland, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in all of Europe. Overnight stay.
DAY 04 - WED BERNE - GRUYERE - GENEVA
Breakfast and panoramic tour highlighting the Clock Tower and the 15th-century St. Vincent's Cathedral. After an interesting tour of the city, we depart for the Gruyères region, a small town that seems to have remained in the Middle Ages. The region is known for the production of Gruyères cheese, one of the most appreciated cheeses in Switzerland. We will take a walk through Gruyères and at the end we will visit a cheese factory, where we will end this visit with a tasting. Continue to Geneva, overnight stay.
DAY 05 - THURSDAY GENEVA
Breakfast and a city tour, strolling along the Promenade du Lac and its English Garden, where you can admire the famous Floral Clock, a symbol of the enduring importance of the watchmaking industry to the city. Geneva is the birthplace of illustrious figures such as Calvin, Rousseau, Voltaire, and Henri Dunant, founder of the Red Cross. The city's emblem is the world's tallest water jet, reaching a height of 140 meters. The water shoots out at 100 km/h, and a valve gives it a brilliant white appearance that is even more striking at night. We pass through the historic center, where the famous Calvinist Cathedral of Saint Peter stands, the site of John Calvin's preaching. Another attraction we visit is the Parc des Bastions with the Monument to the Reformers, a tribute to the fathers of the Calvinist Reformation. If you're looking for an expensive souvenir, you're sure to find it on the tourist watch route. All the famous watch brands, such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Frederique Constant, and Hublot, have a showcase in Geneva. Free afternoon and accommodation in Geneva.
DAY 06 - FRI GENEVA - MONTREUX - ZERMATT
Breakfast and departure for Montreux. Nestled between the lake, mountains, and vineyards, the Montreux Riviera looks like a picture postcard. We'll make a short visit and then tour the famous Chillon Castle, perched on a rocky promontory on the shores of Lake Geneva. This walled castle is the most visited historical building in Switzerland. For almost four centuries, Chillon served as the residence and profitable customs house of the Counts of Savoy. We'll continue to Zermatt, a picturesque village with its old wooden houses and flower-adorned farmhouses. Zermatt lies at the foot of the Matterhorn, and its tourist development is closely linked to the world's most famous mountain. This car-free holiday village has retained its typical character and offers almost unlimited excursion opportunities. Overnight stay.
DAY 07 - SAT ZERMATT
Breakfast and ascent by cogwheel train to the Gornergrat. The Gornergrat viewpoint, located at 3089 meters high, offers one of the best views of the Matterhorn, the most famous mountain in the Alps for its imposing pyramid shape and for being the logo of the delicious Toblerone chocolate. Gornergrat also offers spectacular panoramic views of up to 29 peaks that exceed 4000 meters, such as Dufours, the highest in Switzerland, and the Gorner Glacier, the third longest glacier in the Alps mountain range. Return by train to Zermatt and accommodation.
DAY 08 - SUN ZERMATT - GLACIER EXPRESS - ZURICH
Breakfast and boarding the Glacier Express, one of Switzerland's most iconic panoramic trains, known as the slowest express train in the world. Its route connects Zermatt with St. Moritz, traversing breathtaking alpine landscapes. On this journey, we will focus on the section from Zermatt to Chur, a journey of approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes through valleys, mountains, and spectacular bridges. The train follows the course of the Rhône River, passing through Brig towards the Oberalp Pass, the highest point of the journey, located at 2,033 meters above sea level. From the Oberalp Pass, the train begins its descent towards Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland. Disembarkation and continuation of the journey by bus to Zurich, overnight stay.
DAY 09 - MON ZURICH
Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
