Visit to the San Juan de Teotihuacan Archaeological Zone, considered one of the most important pre-Hispanic sites discovered to date. It is a testament to one of the best-planned and most extensive pre-Hispanic cities of the ancient world. We will visit the Pyramid of the Sun (the largest), the Pyramid of the Moon, the Avenue of the Dead, and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl (the feathered serpent). Buffet lunch.

We will continue with a panoramic tour of Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, where we can see monuments such as the Aztec Tlatoani Cuauhtémoc and the Independence Column. We will then proceed to the historic Chapultepec Forest and the residential area, where we can see some celebrity homes and other locations where famous telenovelas and movies were filmed (panoramic tour). We will head to the Historic Center to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Main Square (also known as the Zócalo), and the Government Palace (exterior view only, no entry), as well as the archaeological ruins of the Aztec Templo Mayor. We will conclude with a visit to a craft market to experience the folklore of Mexican handicrafts. Return to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight stay.

We will continue to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas (Plaza of the Three Cultures), for a panoramic tour showcasing the three eras of Mexico's history: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial, and Modern. Afterward, we will visit the Basilica of Guadalupe, where the Patron Saint of Mexico is venerated. Return to the hotel and free afternoon.

We will begin the day by traveling south of the city to a family's home in the Xochimilco area to learn about the meaning of an offering and participate in this tradition. We will create an altar for our deceased loved ones, engaging with their memory and their lives, and experiencing a reunion as a ritual that summons remembrance.

The Day of the Dead offering is a cultural fusion. Europeans contributed flowers, wax, candles, and votive candles; the indigenous people added copal incense, food, and the marigold (Zempoalxóchitl) flower. The offering, as we know it today, is also a reflection of the syncretism of the Old and New Worlds. The dead are welcomed with natural, simple, and intangible elements—including the trails of scents and fragrances emanating from the flowers, incense, and copal. (We invite you to bring a portrait of your deceased loved one.)

Later, we'll transfer to the Nuevo Nativitas pier in Xochimilco, the "Place of Flowers." It boasts an attraction that has brought it international fame for being unique in the world: the chinampas, an ancient and highly productive agricultural technique used by the Xochimilca people since pre-Hispanic times. These chinampas consist of artificial islands created on the lake. We'll board a boat that will take us along its canals. Lunch will be served on board (set menu).

We'll conclude with a visit to the town of San Antonio Tecómitl, one of the 12 original towns that make up Milpa Alta. Here, the "All Saints' Day" celebration takes place in the town cemetery, where families begin to gather early in the morning to clean the graves of their loved ones. Around 3:00 p.m., they begin the work of kneading and creating a muddy paste; sculptors can be seen everywhere, giving life to the dead. With great ingenuity and using only their hands, they press the mounds of wet earth to mold skulls of all shapes and sizes. Walking among the tombs and earth sculptures, decorated with marigolds, polar bears, and cockscomb flowers, one can feel the emotion in some and the joy in others. Return to Mexico City.
