DAY 1 | MAY 31 | PANAMA – LIMA

Arrival at Tocumen International Airport to board the Copa Airlines flight bound for Lima (CM131, 12:01 p.m. – 3:40 p.m.). Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, a representative will meet you and provide assistance with your transfer to the selected hotel. The rest of the day will be free to relax or begin discovering the Peruvian capital, a city that combines history, culture, and renowned gastronomy. One night accommodation in Lima.

DAY 2 | JUNE 01 | LIMA | CITY TOUR & LARCO MUSEUM

Breakfast at the hotel. Then our guide will pick you up at the hotel to begin a tour of Lima’s Historic Center, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the visit, you will see the historic Casa Aliaga, considered the oldest house in the Americas, the Plaza Mayor, and the imposing Lima Cathedral. Afterwards, you will visit the prestigious Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre, where you can admire an extraordinary collection of pre-Hispanic gold, silver, and ceramic pieces that tell more than 5,000 years of Peru’s history. At the end of the excursion, return to the hotel. One night accommodation in Lima.

DAY 3 | JUNE 02 | LIMA – CUSCO | CITY TOUR

Breakfast. Transportation with one of our representatives will take you from the selected hotel to Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, ready to board flight LA2127, departing at 07:50 a.m.

Upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco at 08:25 a.m., transportation and a representative will meet you and transfer you to the selected hotel.

Enjoy a guided tour of the charming and magical city of Cusco, capital of the Inca Empire. You will visit the Santo Domingo Convent, located in the Coricancha Temple. Then, you will visit the city’s main temple, known as the Cathedral Basilica of the Virgin of the Assumption, which houses a rich collection of colonial works of art, including impressive gilded altarpieces, paintings from the renowned Cusco School, and religious sculptures. Afterwards, you will tour the Cusco hills and visit the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, the Qenqo archaeological complex, walk through the military architectural complex of Puca Pucará and the ruins of Tambomachay, also known as the Inca Baths, and finally return to the selected hotel.

DAY 4 | JUNE 03 | MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

Breakfast at the hotel. Transportation service and a representative will pick you up from your selected hotel in Cusco and take you to the Ollantaytambo station.

Board the Voyager or Expedition train from Ollantaytambo station to Aguas Calientes station (Machu Picchu Pueblo) on a one-and-a-half-hour journey. Upon arrival at your destination, you will receive assistance.

Board the Voyager or Expedition train from Aguas Calientes station (Machu Picchu Pueblo) to Ollantaytambo station on a one-and-a-half-hour journey. Upon arrival at your destination, you will receive assistance. Transportation and a representative will pick you up from the Ollantaytambo train station at the agreed time and transfer you to your selected hotel in the city of Cusco.

DAY 5 | JUNE 04 | CUSCO | FREE DAY

After breakfast, you will have the day free to enjoy the city of Cusco at your own pace. You may stroll through its charming colonial streets, visit the Plaza de Armas, the traditional San Blas Neighborhood, the San Pedro Market, explore its handicraft shops, or enjoy Peru’s renowned gastronomy. You will also have the possibility of taking optional excursions to complement your experience. One night accommodation in Cusco with breakfast included.

DAY 6 | JUNE 05 | CUSCO: VININCUNCA

05:00 a.m. Vinicunca is known as the Mountain of Seven Colors and is a natural work of art located at 5,200 meters above sea level. You will depart from the city of Cusco early in the morning toward Cusipata, where breakfast will be served. Continue the journey until reaching the starting point of the excursion to Rainbow Mountain. During the hike, you will encounter beautiful landscapes such as Ausangate Mountain, one of the most important mountains in Cusco. Then, you will make a stop at the mountain viewpoint to take photos and rest. You will begin the return journey toward Phullawasipata and then take the bus to Cusipata, where lunch will be enjoyed. Finally, you will return to your selected hotel in Cusco.

DAY 7 | JUNE 06 | CUSCO – LIMA – PANAMA

At the indicated time, transportation will take you from the hotel to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, ready to board the domestic flight bound for Lima. From there, you will connect with the international Copa Airlines flight (CM132, 4:40 p.m. – 8:21 p.m.) back to Panama. Arrival at Tocumen International Airport and end of our services, taking with you an unforgettable experience visiting some of Peru’s most emblematic destinations.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MACHU PICCHU

  • The first entrance to the citadel mandatorily requires the accompaniment of a guide. Please note that the guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Guided groups have a maximum of 16 passengers per site guide.
  • The Machu Picchu citadel visit route and schedules are subject to availability.
  • You must carry the same identification document that you presented to the agency, as the train tickets and Machu Picchu entrance tickets will be issued using the same information. It is important to note that entrance tickets to the citadel are non-refundable once purchased.

BAGGAGE:

  • In the event of an overnight stay in the Sacred Valley during shared services, LimaTours will only transfer one piece of carry-on baggage per passenger to the hotel in the Sacred Valley. If the passenger requests the transfer of the remaining luggage, an additional fee must be paid. In the event of an overnight stay in Cusco, the carry-on baggage will be stored in the hotel’s luggage storage area.
  • Carry the same document that you presented to the agency, as the train tickets and Machu Picchu entrance tickets will be issued using the same information.
  • On all train services to Machu Picchu, passengers may only carry hand luggage (backpack, handbag, or briefcase) on the train to/from Machu Picchu, with a maximum weight of 8 kg / 17.6 lb. Your remaining luggage will be available at your selected hotel.
  • Permitted size: 62 linear inches / 157 cm (height + length + width).

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TRAVELING WHILE PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT AND LOCAL CULTURE

  • Do not feed or purchase wild animals, and always try to keep your distance.
  • Avoid purchasing endemic plants and products derived from endangered species.
  • Minimize water use; do not leave the faucet or shower running.
  • Reduce energy consumption: turn off the lights and air conditioning, and unplug your charger when they are not in use.
  • Reduce plastic use: choose to refill your water bottle and recycle single-use bottles.
  • Avoid the use of aerosols, including repellents, tanning sprays, sunscreens, etc.
  • Ask for permission before taking someone’s photograph.
  • Do not include minors in photographs.
  • Be respectful of local beliefs and traditions.
  • Tripods and drones may not be used in sacred or private places.
  • Respect all instructions regarding the preservation of cultural and material heritage.

CLOTHING RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Comfortable and lightweight clothing is recommended when visiting the coastal areas of Peru, while warm clothing is recommended for the high Andean region. Visitors are not advised to wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts, or other revealing clothing when visiting religious temples or official buildings. Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and mosquito repellent may be very useful during your stay.

TRANSFER RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Passengers are entitled to transport up to 20 kg of checked baggage and 5 kg of carry-on baggage. Excess baggage will be permitted according to the capacity of the bus and will be subject to an additional charge.
