The streets of the capital, Mindelo, are cheerfully adorned with European colonial architecture and a cosmopolitan feel, while the island's interior is dry and somewhat rugged. The island is also home to beautiful beaches, such as Salamanca Beach, Baia das Gatas, or São Pedro Beach, for windsurfing enthusiasts. With a rich musical tradition, the city of Mindelo, considered the "cultural capital" of the country, offers visitors excellent restaurants where they can enjoy delicious cuisine to the sound of beautiful mornas or coladeiras. 

Santo Antão: Is a land of dramatic beauty, where basalt cliffs, lush valleys like Ribeira Grande and Vale do Paúl, and volcanic peaks such as Topo do Coroa and Pico da Cruz invite adventure through hiking, canyoning, or sport fishing. The island’s charm also lies in its culture, rooted in tradition, joy, and tranquility. From the mystical Cova crater to the remote Tarrafal de Monte Trigo and the iconic Fontes Pereira de Melo lighthouse, Santo Antão captivates with striking contrasts between its verdant north and arid south.

Día 1: ARRIVAL SAO VICENTE

After landing at Cesária Évora International Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel.

Día 2: SAO VICENTE

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, make your way to the meeting point in Mindelo, where your local guide will greet you for a walking tour of this vibrant city. Your exploration begins on Avenue 5 de Julho, once known as English Street. From there, you’ll continue to the newly redesigned Amílcar Cabral Square, the heart of the city. Here you’ll see the Arts and Crafts Museum and the Mindelo Cultural Center, two important landmarks showcasing local culture and creativity. You’ll then pass by the Eagle Monument, a tribute to the pioneers of the first North Atlantic crossing, before heading toward the African Liberators Municipal Market, the People’s Palace, and the former Military Headquarters – now home to the Jorge Barbosa School. Along the way, you’ll stop outside the house of Cesária Évora, the beloved “Barefoot Diva,” as well as Joana Pinto’s workshop, where traditional craftsmanship comes to life. Your walk continues toward Madeira, reaching Baltazar Lopes Square, named after one of the founders of the Claridade literary movement. Nearby, you’ll also see the City Hall and the Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz. The tour then leads you to Dom Luís I Square, passing through Rua de Praia, the charming Belém Tower, the Fish Market, and the lively Independence Fair Market Plaza.

Please note that the tour includes exterior visits only; no monuments or buildings are visited from the inside, though your guide will provide all the information you need should you wish to explore them later. Tickets and entry fees are not included. Total duration of the tour: approximately 3,5–4 hours.

Día 3: SAO VICENTE – SANTO ANTAO (1hr by ferry; included)

Prepare for an early start today. After breakfast, meet your local transfer driver, who will take you to the harbor for your ferry journey to your next destination: the island of Santo Antão, where you will spend the next four nights. Upon arrival in Santo Antão, you’ll be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. For those eager to begin exploring right away, we recommend a guided walking tour of the Cova Crater National Park, a stunning natural highlight of the island.

Día 4: SANTO ANTAO

Enjoy a delightful breakfast at your hotel and spend the day at your leisure, taking in the natural beauty and relaxed pace of Santo Antão. This island is a paradise for nature lovers, offering stunning landscapes shaped by volcanic mountains, deep valleys, and lush terraced hillsides. If you're feeling adventurous, consider booking an optional guided hike through the breathtaking Paul Valley, renowned for its lush scenery and traditional farming villages.

Día 5: SANTO ANTAO – PONTA DO SOL (30km – 1hr)

After breakfast, meet your local driver for your transfer from the hotel to Ponta do Sol, where you can enjoy and explore another charming area of the island. Take your time to relax and discover the beauty of this delightful coastal town. Among the highlights we recommend visiting: Ponta do Sol Beach, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this scenic beach, perfect for unwinding, soaking up the views, and enjoying a laid‑back afternoon. While the waters here are generally calmer than in other parts of Cabo Verde, it remains an ideal spot to relax by the ocean. Be sure not to miss the Miradouro da Cova, offering breathtaking panoramic views over the surrounding valleys and dramatic mountain landscapes. It’s an excellent location for photos and for appreciating the island’s remarkable natural scenery.

Día 6: PONTA DO SOL

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a full day at leisure in the charming coastal village of Ponta do Sol. Take the time to relax by the sea, wander along the colorful waterfront, or explore the peaceful streets dotted with cozy cafés and local shops. For travelers seeking a bit more activity, optional coastal walks along the dramatic cliffs offer spectacular ocean views and a glimpse into the rhythm of daily island life. This free day is the perfect opportunity to slow down, unwind, and embrace the laid‑back atmosphere of Cape Verde at your own pace.

Día 7: PONTA DO SOL – SAO VICENTE (60km – 2hr, 1hr by ferry; included)

After breakfast, meet your local driver for your transfer from the hotel to the harbor, as today you will return to São Vicente. Enjoy a relaxing ferry journey between the islands. Upon arrival in São Vicente, you’ll be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure. Spend the afternoon exploring the city at your own pace. Wander through its vibrant streets, relax in a seaside café, or simply unwind and take in the island’s unique atmosphere.

Día 8: SAO VICENTE DEPARTURE

Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel and at the scheduled time depart to Cesária Évora International Airport.
